Occupation: Jean has worked at Flourish and Blotts ever since leaving Hogwarts. She started out as a lowly sales clerk, but as the years have passed, she has made her way up to a management position. She handles all orders personally, which requires her to apparate all over the world, to suppliers. Some are closer, including Obscurus Books also located in Diagon Alley. She also does the books, and reports the owners personally.

Personal History: She was born into a blood snob family, even having a few Death Eater cousins. But, luckily, she never agreed with her family. She placed no importance on blood, which was why in school she was known as being an extremely social person. She played quidditch, and tried to be nice to everyone. She showed exceptional skills, and was very bright. Her one true love while in school were books. She loved reading, collecting them, and just having them to look at. Then she met John Elliot during her sixth year summer holidays, and she fell in love. They were married very soon after his graduation, and her completion of school. At this point, her parents owled her, and told her that she was no longer part of the family, and that she had gone to far falling in love with a muggle. Although this hurt, her love for John made her stronger, and she ripped the letter up and threw it in the fire. John decided not to go to college, and instead scribed to his father, and became a carpenter. Jean, knowing that she just had to work with books, applied for a job at Flourish and Blotts. Around the time that she was 21, she realized that she wanted a child, but she realized that the pregnancy would cause her to miss work, which was something that she just couldn’t do, so they decided to adopt. They were very lucky, as it didn’t take them long at all. Brenden was less then a year old when they found him. His birth mother was still in school, and her parents were going to kick her out of the house if she kept it. After everything was finalized, she, along with John, thought it best to not tell Brenden of his past until they felt he was ready. They lived happily for a few years, until there daughter was born. Angie was spunky and wild. No more then 2 years later, Joshua was born. They were a happy family, that was until John lost his job, and the whole family was supported by Jean’s pay. This made things tight, and they slowly started to slide down the financial ladder, until finally they settled into lower-middle class ness. The children hardly ever received anything knew, and Jean and John hardly ever bought things for themselves. Nonetheless, the family was intensely happy, and very close. When Brenden received his Hogwarts letter, she felt it was time to tell him of his past. After running it by John, they agreed to tell him. Brenden was shocked, and insisted on meeting his birth mother, so one summer morning, they took him to a small café, and they met CoCo, as Brenden would chose to call her. After the meeting, when all the promises of writing were said and done, Jean asked him if he would be calling her mom, and Brenden replied that he wouldn’t, that she was his mom. She beamed big and wide, and gave him a big hug. When he was gone to Hogwarts, she moped around for awhile, but got used to it, and that is where she is today, working by day, being with her two remaining children at night, and writing to Brenden at least seven times a week.
Personality: Jean is bubbly, smart, and friendly. Not one to judge people, she’ll talk to anyone. She is also quick to forgive, so you could hurt her and she would forgive you very fast. She is not gullible, she just tries to look for the best in everyone. She is very observant. She notices very minute details. The only problem with this is that she doesn’t do it with people, rather with situations and the like. Her favorite pass time is reading, so she is very consumed by literature. She is a lover of life and knowledge.

Jean had woken up very early that morning, as she had a few things to do before work. Her dreams had been happy enough last night, although they were a little….odd. She had been in a huge field, with flowers, with all of her friends. The weird thing was that giant butterflies swooped in every now and then, and would carry her friends away. Of course, the dream probably meant nothing. She shrugged it off as she walked down stairs in the completely dark house. She shivered. Cold? It was the middle of the summer….She turned around, and shrieked. A giant butterfly was flapping its wings right behind her, and was closing in on her. She screamed and bolted up in her bed. Oh, it was only a dream……..
